Portrait Photography

Family portraits, personal brand photos, engagement photos, headshots, children’s milestones - whatever your portrait needs are, I strive to provide my clients with thoughtfully planned sessions that capture not just what they look like, but who they are at that moment in life.

My goal is to ensure you feel cared for and at ease by the time we reach our session date. I provide all my clients with personalized location suggestions and wardrobe ideas prior to the session along with guidance and directions on posing throughout our time together so you never have to wonder “what do I do with my hands?” I also make myself readily available to my clients via email and text to offer reassurance and guidance whenever needed.

Each portrait session includes:

-Up to 60 minutes of shooting time at our chosen location*

-Minimum of 50 fully edited final images with personal licensing rights to print and share whatever you’d like, whenever you’d like

-Private online gallery to share with loved ones and order prints directly from my trusted professional print lab

-Guidance on location, timing, and wardrobe ahead of our session date

Portrait Sessions begin at $850. A retainer of $300 is requested at the time of booking to hold your date with the remainder due by the date of our session. Please contact me for more details and to get your session date on the calendar!

*Travel fees may apply for locations outside of a 20-mile radius of 94941

Commercial Photography

Whether you are a restaurant, food brand, personal chef, or food blogger, my goal is to tell the story of your product or service in a way that establishes a connection, builds trust, and ultimately garners lifelong brand loyalty with your clients and customers.

Bringing your vision to life in my home studio is always thrilling but I’m also equipped for on-location shoots using both natural and artificial light. I lean towards simplicity in styling, allowing your food or product to take center stage by highlighting its natural colors and textures.

Whether you’re looking simply to update your website or you need images for a seasonal print campaign, each commercial client’s marketing goals and licensing needs vary greatly. In recognition of your unique needs, all my commercial clients receive custom quotes tailored to their specific goals. Please email me for a personalized quote for your project and more info on how we can work together to elevate your imagery and build deeper connections with your audience.

The Process and What To Expect

01.

Discovery Call

We’ll chat about your needs, goals for the images, and review the production and post-production process. When we work together, the end goal is not simply to create pretty photos. We are working towards images that tell a story and build emotional connection. Following our call, I’ll send over my contract for you to review and sign along with an invoice for the retainer to secure your session date.

02.

Pre-Session

After the contract is signed and the retainer is received, I’ll put together a mood board and begin prep work on my end like sourcing props or backgrounds if needed. For portrait clients, we will also review location and timing options together as well as wardrobe ideas.

When the session details have been established (and the products have been delivered or acquired if applicable for commercial clients), it’s picture time!

03.

Post-Session

After the shoot, I will edit the final photos and deliver the agreed-upon number of images via a private online gallery (minimum of 50 for portrait clients) . You are then free to share and print the photos however you’d like as detailed in the licensing clause in our contract.

For commercial clients that prefer to see a proofing gallery before the images are edited, we will plan that out prior to Shoot Day. Your proofing gallery would be delivered approx. 24-48 hours after our session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions? Take a look at the FAQ or reach out anytime.

  • I’m based in Southern Marin County and always love to travel!

  • When I initially launched my business in 2012, I shot weddings almost exclusively. I loved the emotion of the day and the excitement of shooting “a little bit of everything” all in one day (portraits, candids, still life/food, location/travel, etc). As much as I loved photographing weddings, I also love having my weekends available for family time and other types of sessions. While it is no longer the main focus of my work, I do still occasionally photograph full-day weddings and I’m always open for elopements!

  • I like to keep my editing as natural as possible. You should look like you at the end of the day! I will remove distracting background elements since that comes with the territory of shooting in outdoor locations but generally try to stay as true to the scene as possible. As far as “photoshopping” people, I generally remove temporary blemishes like bruises or acne, along with stains on clothes. I do not remove birthmarks or alter your features in an unrecognizable way. My rule of thumb is, if it’ll be gone in two weeks, I’ll remove it from the photo.

  • I typically send a sneak peek within a few days of our session via a private online gallery. Your final photos will be uploaded to the same private gallery within 4-6 weeks of our session.

  • Yes! My clients have hired me for sessions all throughout California, as well as out of state places like New York, Texas, and Cancun, Mexico (to name just a few).

  • You can find my current works available for purchase over in the shop. If you’d like to request a custom piece, please reach out! I love collaborating with my clients to create artwork they’ll treasure for a lifetime.
