Each fine art encaustic piece is a one-of-a-kind. The artwork begins with a film photograph from my travels printed on archival photographic paper and mounted onto birch wood. Layers of wax are added to create a unique encaustic texture while various details are highlighted with oil paints, creating a singular piece that blurs the boundary between photography and painting.

About The Series

Blossoming trees, historic landmarks, late-afternoon sunlight, and quiet storefronts become memories suspended in wax. Photographed by Stephanie Court Toscano on medium format film while on a trip to France, the “Paris In Springtime” collection is a series of photo encaustic works that blur the boundary between photography and painting. With each layer of melted wax and oil paint, you are invited to experience Paris not just as it looks but also as it feels.

Framing

Each piece comes framed in a beautiful, American-made wood floater frame. The artwork arrives on your doorstep wired and ready to hang.

Shipping

Please allow 7-12 business days for your one-of-a-kind artwork to be properly packaged and shipped. Smaller pieces will be shipped via USPS Priority with tracking. Larger pieces will be insured and shipped via UPS. Shipping is currently only available within the US. For international orders, please email stephanie@stephaniecourt.com.
